The federal government has been hit by new revelations over safety breaches involving senior ministers, together with the sharing of delicate paperwork through non-public e mail accounts by residence secretary Suella Braverman.
Braverman’s allies admitted on Sunday she took a number of hours to report her “error of judgment” to cupboard secretary Simon Case, placing the delay all the way down to the house secretary’s “very packed schedule”.
