Follow the steps and configure correctly
In this article we will guide you from A to Z and show you how to Install Localhost on Your PC and installing WordPress.
Localhost is a very usefull for the students to practice the web designing stuff and test any special and new things without spending money And also for designers it is a fast and easy method to design site and migrate the site to the hosting server after design complete.
Might this will help to improve your workability on WordPress.
Step 1: 1.Download and Install Xampp
Follow the link to download Xampp : https://www.apachefriends.org/index.html
Select XAMPP for Windows and Download XAMMP.exe File
Step 2: Download WordPress Latest Version from WordPress.org
Follow the link to download WordPress : https://wordpress.org/download/
Step 3: Install XAMPP to your Computer
Follow the steps… Bellow
Double Click and start installation of XAMPP.exe file.
Click Next And Select Check Boxes of Apache , My SQL,php, phpMyAdmin and then click Next
Then in Next Window keep default setting as installation folder C:/xampp and click Next
Installation Process will start and after complete installation Next
Finish Installation and Click Finish
Step4 : Extract WordPress ZIP File
Right Click on WordPress.ZIP file and Click Extract to Folder and complete extracting the WordPress Files to Folder.
Step 5 : Re Name it as “wordpress”
Rename the extracted folder as “wordpress” (This is Very important to keep in mind the exact letters used for rename the folder)
Step 6 : 6. Copy and Paste the Folder to C:/XAMPP/htdocs Folder
Step 7 : Open xampp window and Click the “START” Button in front of Apache and My SQL.
This should convert the Apache and MySQL to Green Color after start. See Bello Image.
Step 8 : select admin button under MySQL line.
This will Open The phpMyAdmin panel in your Browser.
Step 9 : Select Database tab
To create database click and type database name as “wordpress” and type selection will remain “collection” and Click “Create” button.
Now the database created. With the name of “wordpress” which is the same name that we have add to the “htdocs” folder when copying wordpress.
Step 10 : Go to C:/xampp/htdocs/wordpress folder and double click and open “wpconfig sample.php” file in notepad.
Step 11: Change Following carefully
DB name : “wordpress”
DB User : “root”
Password: “” (keep it blank)
Then Save the file and close the notepad window.
Step 12 : Rename the “wpconfig sample.php” to “wpconfig.php”
Now the Xampp configuration and the localhost configuration is finished and now we need to install WordPress on your localhost.
Step 13 : Open your Browser
In address bar, type “localhost/wordpress” it will open the following window.
Step 14: Select English and click “Continue”
Step 15: Fill up your details “site name” , “User Name”, “Password” etc and click next.
Step 16 : Then using the given user name and password you can log in to the local hosting WordPress site back end.
